Union City is a excellent place to live and it's very diverse community. According to Trulia recently this year, Union City shows an increase of $166,500, a 22% year-over-year rise in median sales price and average price per square foot for this same period rose to $568, up from $462 for the year 2018. Many new families are are moving to Union City because the schools here are excellent. They have three elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school. James Logan High School is one of the largest high school in the bay area serving 4000 plus students. If you work in the the Silicon Valley, Union City is the ideal city to invest in Real Estate; it's only 30 minutes away from San Francisco and San Jose. There is also a Bart Station here which is great because if you work in the city of San Francisco, Oakland, Emeryville and Berkeley, your commute is easier. One great thing I love about Union City is Union Landing, the largest shopping areas in the East Bay. I live in Fremont but I love shopping here, they have almost everything and they have plenty of food establishments such as restaurants and cafes. If you love being active like me, Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation Area has a terrific path with amazing views. Running is great here as the path is a fine sandy gravel and easy on the knees. Come in the morning to witness the glassy image of the lakes. During the summer, this park is filled with families having a great time at the lake swimming and boating.
